Overview
The Diocesan Youth Board (DYB) is comprised of at least two youth from each parish and Catholic high school across the diocese. The DYB exists to further develop the gifts of youth and improve communication between the schools and parishes of the Diocese of Baton Rouge and the Office of Youth Ministry. The DYB is comprised of 80-100 young people mentored by 16-18 volunteer adults leaders, known as the Leadership Team.
Key points of the DYB include empowering youth to become leaders among their peers, giving ownership to youth as they work together on major programs, providing support for prayer and faith experiences, and affirming their decisions to be Catholic Christians.
